Caustic Soda
General characteristics
- It is produced by the electrolysis of a sodium chloride solution.
- The Caustic Soda is liquid in the form of a colorless solution to light ash, containing an average of 50% sodium hydroxide (NaOH). It is also produced in flakes at 70%, packed in bags of 25 Kg. Palletized up to 1.375 Kg.
Applications
- Caustic Soda is used in the manufacture of cellulose, water purification, cleaning agent in stainless steel facilities of the food industry, mainly dairy, aluminum industry, soaps and detergents, rayon synthetic fiber, cellophane, sodium salts in general , dyes and pigments, glass, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, in the production of sodium hypochlorite and other products for water treatment.
- It is also used in the refining of vegetable oils, regeneration of ion exchange resins, paper production, textile industry, cotton mercerization, dry cleaning, metal processing, oil extraction and neutralization of effluents.
Packaging
The liquid presentation is delivered in bulk in tankers. The solid product is delivered in the form of flakes with a concentration of 70% in 25 kg bags.
