Ferric chloride

General characteristics

Ferric Chloride manufactured by EFICE is a dark brown solution. Taking into account that solid Ferric Chloride is an extremely hygroscopic compound, which quickly absorbs moisture from the air, our company has decided to serve its markets with liquid Ferric Chloride. In our case, we have opted for the distribution to the liquid state with a concentration located within the range 40 – 42%.

Applications

Ferric Chloride is a highly versatile compound, with a wide spectrum of industrial applications. Its high flocculation power stands out as a very efficient coagulant in the treatment of drinking water and sanitary and industrial effluents, and its ability to coagulate in a wide range of pH makes it a more useful tool than other chemical products used with the same purposes.
It is especially used for the removal of phosphorus and sulfur in both industrial effluents and sanitation.
It is also used as a sludge conditioning agent, as a catalyst in a wide variety of organic reactions, as an accelerant for the oxidation of asphalt, in the manufacture of pigments, gravure, manufacture of other iron salts, and in many other industrial applications.

Packaging

It is delivered in bulk in tankers.
