Hydrochloric acid

General characteristics

  • Hydrochloric acid is an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride in a concentration of 30%.
  • It appears as a clear liquid slightly yellow with a strong and irritating odor.
  • Also known as Muriatic Acid, it is produced by the burning of hydrogen and chlorine gases followed by absorption in water.
This productive process carried out in EFICE is the purest way to obtain it, so it is widely used in industries where this purity is critical, such as food or paper and cellulose.

Applications

Hydrochloric Acid is used mainly in the cleaning and treatment of ferrous metals, flotation and processing of minerals, ion exchange resin regeneration, civil construction, neutralization of effluents, manufacture of chemical products for the pharmaceutical and food industry.

Packaging

It is delivered in bulk in tankers.
